OVERVIEW: Here, we will explore the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and how to invest time and energy in your relationships.

Positive attitude is the expression of feelings of warmth, tenderness and sympathy that the individual spontaneously feels towards others. In the intimacy of a relationship, it is the unconditional acceptance of oneself and the other, for what they are (Being) and not necessarily for what they do (Action). In the following we will detail next two attitudes that favor the development of a authentic relationship

3 – Be Authentic and Develop Your Own Opinions and Tastes

Being liked by others may push us to adopt certain ideas or tastes just to fit in and be like everyone else. But most people don’t want to interact with exact copies of themselves; they want to open up to different ideas and tastes.

This is why it’s much more interesting to be authentic. So, maybe you won’t please someone at all, but you’ll certainly make those you interact with happy.

In fact, understand that as long as you’re doing what other people do, other people will only like you a little, just enough. But if you want real relationships - strong, authentic relationships -then behave in this manner..

To do this, take time to get to know yourself. Explore your opinions and tastes. Have fun!

4 – Take Time to Invest Fully in Relationship

When we want to be liked by those we interact with, we don't always realize that this will require time. Indeed, we cannot create or maintain relationships if we do not invest fully in them.

So, investing time is important, but not only that. There’s also an emotional investment to make.

That’s why, if you’re on the journey of making your social circle appreciate you, understand that you’re not there to take everything in without giving anything in return. In fact, expect to give before you even receive.

Making others love you is not about taking everything without giving. It's actually the opposite. It's about giving freely and allowing your social circle to be free to give or not in return.

However, I’m not saying you should give everything to everyone. Not at all.

Making others love you is not about being loved by everyone. It’s about the right people. Do you see the difference? It’s essential for your well-being and happiness.
